Good Afternoon Parents/Caregivers,
Welcome to 2021!
We are looking forward to what promises to be a great year at Kelmscott Primary School. Our staff have spent the last few days engaged in a variety of professional learning opportunities that have been tailored to enhance our school and our student’s learning outcomes.
First Day of School
The new school year brings with it a range of emotions and anxieties that will differ from child to child. We hope to make the experience a positive and exciting new chapter in our students lives. At this stage, we are still in Phase 4 COVID-19 restrictions. Therefore, we ask parents of students from Year 1-6 to drop their child outside their new classroom, it will be too difficult to manage social distancing for all adults and children inside the classroom. Kindergarten and Pre-Primary families are permitted to have one parent drop their child off in their classroom. One parent of any child with special needs will also be permitted into the classroom if it is necessary.
School Charter
On Thursday, we worked with Dr Garry Tester and his team from Sports Challenge to develop a new school charter of agreed values and behaviours for our school community to embrace as a whole. I would like to thank our ‘Board Chair’ Wally Turner and our ‘P&C President’ Jeff Williams for attending and assisting us to provide a community perspective. We hope to have our new charter ratified and implemented in the next few weeks.
Packed with Goodness lunchbox talk

We look forward to seeing you on Monday!
Kind Regards,
