Good Afternoon Parents/Caregivers,
It has been an incredibly busy few weeks here at Kelmscott Primary School with our student councillor speeches and election, clean up Australia day and our first whole school assembly occurring all since my last update.
The front gate (closest to the cemetery) will be open before and after school from now on. This will allow for less traffic to be concentrated outside the Kindergarten and Pre-Primary areas.
Kiss and Drop
Please don’t park in the ‘kiss and drop’ area. If you’d like to take your child to class please make sure you park across the road. This area is extremely busy at pick up and drop off so your patience is much appreciated.
Over the coming weeks and months you will notice our school signage being updated as well as an upgrade to the office reception. This is all part of our new marketing and branding strategy.
We are seeking nominations for parents and community members who might be interested in joining our School Board. Being a member of the Board is a great way to gain insight into the operations and decision making that occur within our school. If you are interested please email me on Jason.firstname.lastname@example.org
P&C Meeting and AGM
Last Tuesday night our first Parent and Citizens meeting was held for the year. It gives me great pleasure to announce that it was a really well attended meeting with a new executive committee announced for 2021.
President: Jeff Williams
Vice President: Annette Macek
Treasurer: Jessica Arnold
Secretary: Tina Witheridge
The P&C will be fundraising at the State Election on Saturday. They have asked if you are unable to assist on the day that you might consider donating a cake or cans/bottles to the stall. All funds go towards our building and infrastructure projects and school programs. Please contact the P&C for more information.
Ride to School Day
Friday 19 March is Ride to School Day. Students will be safely allowed to ride their bikes in the quad area on this special day.
Student Leadership Roles Assembly
These will be announced at special assembly this Thursday 11 March in the Hall from 9am. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend.
