Principal’s Update #2 Term 1

Good Afternoon Parents/Caregivers,

After a false start we have rolled into the new school year with enthusiasm and excitement. As Term 1 is already a shorter term we are busy making up for lost time. I want to thank you all for your support and understanding during our lockdown week. As a school, we always want to ensure that you are kept up to date and well informed.

Next Week’s Procedures

We cautiously expect to return to our ‘pre-lockdown’, Phase 4 COVID Restrictions next week as long as there are no new cases found in the Perth/Peel Regions. However, we will wait for the advice provided by the State Government before we make any announcements. I will communicate this as soon as the new information is shared.

Important Dates for Term 1

We have a Pupil Free Day on Thursday 1 April. This is one of our six mandated days for staff professional learning that we have each year. During this day our teachers and support staff will be increasing their knowledge of our ‘Back to Front Maths’ approach. We want to give you as much notice as possible as you may want to take off on an Easter holiday a little earlier and beat the crowds. We also have a Labour Day Public Holiday on Monday 1 March.

Third Party App Forms

You would have received a package outlining the applications that we use as a school to enhance your children’s learning opportunities. As of this year, we require your consent to use these applications to ensure that there is transparency between school and home. Please return them as soon as possible as your children cannot access these resources until we have consent.

Packed with Goodness lunchbox talk

Please RSVP to this great event that will be held on Wednesday in our Library 9am.

Kind Regards,

Jason Bushe-Jones

Principal
