Principal’s Update #4 Term 4

Good Afternoon Parents/Caregivers,

As we put the finishing touches on 2020 and reflect on the significant year it has been, it is vitally important that we take the time to slow down and appreciate all the good things we have as a school community. Monday’s Christmas Concert was such a great reminder of how lucky we are. To see so many families relaxing and enjoying the evening filled me with joy. I want to sincerely thank you for welcoming me into this wonderful school community, I am extremely proud to be your principal. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year. I hope you enjoy some time off with your children and do something relaxing as a family.

Graduation

My favourite thing about the graduation ceremony was it was all about the kids! It was great to see the children front and centre having their memories shared and singing together for the last time. Their journey at KPS may be coming to an end, but their memories will last a lifetime. Well done to Mr Payne, Mrs Maxwell and Ms Hosken for all their work in getting the ceremony organised.

Class Lists

Class lists will go up today in the undercover area. The reason we like to provide you with the lists at this stage of the year is to ensure students know where they are going and have the holidays to become acclimatised. If for any reason you are unhappy with the placement, please make an appointment with the office. I urge you to be understanding that we don’t make any changes to class lists unless there is a significant reason why they may need to change. Not liking a teacher or another student aren’t sufficient reasons to change a class.

Reports

Semester reports were sent out on Tuesday. I really enjoyed reading all the successes our students have had in 2020. If for any reason you didn’t receive a report please let the office know ASAP.

2021

Our office opens on Monday 25 January 2021. Students will return to school the following Monday 1 February 2021. We look forward to welcoming them back and ready for what will be a fantastic year!

Kind Regards,

Jason Bushe-Jones
